Connecting a Custom Domain

Right now your website lives at a free address like your-business.tradesite.ai. To put it on your own domain (like yourcompany.com), you'll do two quick things: add one record at the company you bought your domain from, then turn it on in your portal.

It takes about 5 minutes, and you don't need to be technical — just copy and paste.

Step 1: Open Your Domain Settings

Log in to the company where you bought your domain — for example GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, or Squarespace.

Once you're in, look for a page called DNS, DNS Management, DNS Records, or Zone Editor. That's where you'll add the record below.

Step 2: Add One Record

On that DNS page, you'll add two records — one for your main domain (yourcompany.com) and one for the www version (www.yourcompany.com). Adding both means your site loads no matter how someone types it.

Click Add (or "Add Record") and create each row below. Tap Copy next to a value and paste it straight into the matching box — that way there are no typos.

TypeNameValue
A
@
76.76.21.21
CNAME
www
cname.vercel-dns.com

Then click Save.

If the boxes are named differently: some providers say Host instead of Name, and Points to or Target for the last box — they mean the same thing. For the Name, @ stands for your main domain; a few providers want you to leave it blank or type your full domain instead, which works the same way.

Step 3: Turn It On in Your Portal

Once the record is saved:

  1. Log in to your portal at tradesite.ai/portal
  2. Open the Custom Domain section
  3. Type your domain (for example, yourcompany.com)
  4. Click Activate

We'll check the record and connect everything for you. Once it's confirmed, your site goes live on your own domain.

How Long Does It Take?

Usually 5 to 30 minutes for the change to take effect, though it can occasionally take up to 24 hours. If Activate doesn't work the first time, wait a few minutes and try again — the record just needs a little time to register.

What Happens After You Activate?

  • Your website loads at your own domain
  • Google can finally find and list your site in search results
  • A sitemap is created automatically so Google can discover all your pages
